The Board of Christian Education is to provide Christian educational opportunities proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all ages.

Duties and Responsibilities.

  • With the assistance of the Called staff, select the curriculum to be used in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Mid-Week and organize the volunteers to support these programs and the Children’s Christmas Program.
  • Coordinate a nursery roll program to keep in contact with newborns through age 3 when the child can attend Sunday school
  • Supply new and slightly used toys for the nursery and keep the toys clean.
  • Work with the Called Staff in selecting the materials to be used in Adult Education classes and/or small groups.
  • Coordinate larger small Group programs and communicate and encourage all in the congregation to be involved in Small Groups/Adult Education opportunities.

Current News:

Sunday school - will begin on September 12th for the 2010 – 2011 school year.  We are currently in need of Sunday school teachers and substitute teachers for the coming school year.  The kids in 2nd, 5th, 6th and 7th grades would greatly appreciate it if you would volunteer to help them learn about God and His Word. 
Additionally, we are always in need of substitute teachers when a teacher is not able to be there.  Please contact Steve Butler at 659-8013 or the church office if you would like to help with Sunday school for the 2010-2011 school year. 
 
FaithWeaver Friends - (Wednesday midweek program) will begin on September 8th 5:30 - 6:45.  We are currently in need of volunteers to help in the following areas:
 
• Circle of Friends leaders – lead group of 5-8 kids (preschool and kindergarten – 5th grade) through the activity stations and build relationships with your group of kids
• Leaders and helpers for Music, Snack and Games stations
• Helpers for Projects with a Purpose (crafts) station
• Administration (take attendance, listen to memory work, track award points)
 
A volunteer sheet is available in the church foyer or you can contact Kristy Engelkes at 285-5573 or the church office if you would like to help with this awesome program for the 2010-2011 school year.
