The Church Council shall be the administrative body of the Congregation and shall be empowered to administer and manage all of its affairs subject to the review of the Voters Assembly. The conduct of all organizations within the Congregation shall be subject to the approval and supervision of the Church Council.
MEMBERS. The Church Council shall consist of the Chairman of the Board of Elders, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Board of Education, Chairman of the Board of Discipleship, Chairman of the Board of Outreach, Chairman of the Board of Youth, Chairman of the Board of Finance, Chairman of the Board of Preschool Ministry, President-Elect of the Congregation, President of the Congregation and Secretary of the Congregation. The Called Leadership Team, Past-President and Business Manager shall be ex-officio members. If the Chairman of any Board is unable to attend a regular scheduled meeting, he or she must designate a member of his or her board as an alternate who shall act on his or her behalf and be entitled to vote in his or her absence.
REGULAR MEETINGS. Regular meetings of the Church Council shall be held each month, except those months of the year in which the regular quarterly voters meeting shall be held. Special meetings of the Church Council may be called by the President, President-Elect or any three members of the Church Council by personally informing each member of the Church Council of the time, place, and purpose of such meeting at least twenty-four hours in advance. A majority of the members of the Church Council at a properly called meeting shall constitute a quorum.
COMMUNICATION. Communication from Grace Lutheran Camp shall be encouraged to be a part of every regularly scheduled council and voters meeting in order to promote unity of mission and ministry between the Church and the Camp.
